VM Distribution Lists

Purpose

The VM Distribution Lists form is used to manage lists of mailbox numbers that allow subscribers to send messages to several people at one time. Up to 49 global distribution lists can be created. A fiftieth list is already set up to broadcast messages to every mailbox in the system.

All subscribers can use the global lists but only the system administrator can change them. Subscribers can also set up their own personal lists.

Field Descriptions

VM Distribution Lists
List ID	The numbers of the global distribution list (01-49). Click Add button to create a group. To edit or delete a group, select it, and then click the Delete Group or Edit Group button. NOTES A Distribution List must have both a List ID and a List Name. List IDs for configuring distribution lists via the Administrator's mailbox are three digits long (001-049). The same applies to addressing messages to mailboxes in a distribution list; users must dial the 3-digit list ID, not the equivalent 2-digit ID required in this form.	Blank
List Name	The names of the global distribution list. Use the Add button to add a distribution list. To remove a list, select the list, and then click Delete Member.	Blank
VM Distribution List Members
Mailbox Number	Enter a mailbox number to add it to the selected distribution list.	Blank
Name	Read-only field. Displays the mailbox subscriber's name as entered in the User and Services Configuration or VM Mailbox form.	Blank
